Hi everyone,
My name is Aly, and I'm reaching out with a heavy heart and a hopeful spirit.
When I first moved to Mississippi to start a new chapter in my life—college, adulthood, everything—I found comfort and companionship in the most unexpected place: a little puppy with big, curious eyes and an even bigger heart. I named him Dale after Dale Earnhardt, and from that day on, he’s been by my side through every thick and thin, high and low.
Dale Bear has helped me through the toughest years of my life: the late nights of studying, the stress of exams, the loneliness of being far from home. He was always there—tail wagging, eyes full of love. I truly don’t know how I would’ve made it through college without him.
Recently, Dale was diagnosed with secondary glaucoma, a painful and aggressive condition that quickly robbed him of his vision in one eye. Despite medication and all the care I could give, the disease progressed, and the only option left was surgery to remove his eye and stop the pain.
The surgery was a success, thank goodness, but the vet bills have been overwhelming. Between diagnostics, medications, surgery, post-op care, and ongoing follow-ups, I’ve found myself in a financial situation I simply can’t manage alone.
That’s why I’m humbly asking for your help.
Anything you can give—no matter how small—will go directly toward paying off Dale’s medical expenses and ensuring he gets the care he needs as he adjusts to life with one eye. I want to give him the best possible life, just like he’s given me his love and loyalty all these years.
If you can’t donate, I completely understand—sharing this page would mean the world to me too.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story. From the bottom of my heart (and from Dale's sweet one-eyed face), thank you for your kindness and support.
With love and gratitude,
Aly & Dale
