My close friend of eight years, Maria Sharif turned 24 in January. Last month, she was diagnosed with clear cell cancer. We're all shaken by this news, but none of us are more shaken than her and her family. Aside from cancer being a scary diagnosis, the financial implications a diagnosis has for an individual are just as terrifying. While Maria has insurance, her insurance will only cover treatments and procedures within her insurance network. We're currently waiting to hear the stage of the cancer, but in the meantime, we're asking for your help to alleviate the financial strain and burden while Maria fights to beat this.
