Hello, my name is Mahmoud Abu Assi from Gaza, and I have two children, Maryam and Naji We lost our beautiful homeland in Gaza, full of our dear memories, due to the devastating bombing. Thank God my family and I survived. But my children lost their room where they spent most of their time drawing, painting, and playing with their toys. I also lost my source of income, as I was working in a mobile phone repair shop, but the shop where I was working was destroyed. We were living a wonderful life, but we lost everything beautiful in one moment.

We fled our home with nothing but the clothes we were wearing. Because of these difficult conditions, we were forced to move from one place to another several times, and our displacement ended in the city of Rafah, where we live in tents amidst insects and health risks. My children wake up every night in absolute terror because of the loud noises and sights they see.

My priority first and foremost is the safety and future of my children. They deserve a life free of constant fear and insecurity that clouds every moment of their lives. Deciding to ask for your support was not easy, but seeing the struggle over the past seven months without being able to leave the war-torn country due to financial constraints, like many other families, forced me to ask for your help. We are a family stuck in a relentless cycle of hardship, facing daily struggles for safety amid difficult circumstances. Limited access to basic necessities intensifies the battle for children's lives. The looming specter of violence and deteriorating living conditions force us to seek shelter.

My goal is to evacuate to safety with my family. The cost of evacuation is: $5000 for myself Another $5,000 for each of my children ($2,500 each) $5000 for my wife $5000 for my mother We also hope that we will eventually be able to raise money so that we can rent a house in Egypt, buy clothes and toys for my sons (who were lost in the bombing), and enroll my eldest son in kindergarten. Any money left over after eviction will go toward securing housing and starting life over.
