Hello brothers and sisters.

I am Zaki Adeeb, a photographer, and my wife is Wafaa, a teacher, from northern Gaza. We have two children, Sham, 5 years old, and Adam, 3 years old.

With the beginning of the war, we moved from our house in northern Gaza to the city of Rafah because of the intense shelling and thousands of rockets that were falling on us like rain showers, even while walking on our way to the southern part of the Strip, which the army claimed was safe.

During 15 months, we faced all kinds of suffering from killing, hunger, disease, genocide, cold, and rain that entered our worn-out tents from the large amount of displacement and moving from one place to another more than 8 times, the last of which was our displacement to the Mawasi of Khan Yunis.

We spread out on the ground and covered ourselves with the sky on the beach. One night, while we were sleeping, the waves flooded the tents and our only possessions went with the waves.

We gathered our exhausted strength throughout that period, during which we worked around the clock, from transporting portable water, then water for washing, and then to collecting firewood to light a fire to cook food, which was not always available.

We walked hundreds of meters to bring whatever we could bring of the things that might keep us alive.

Many nights, my children would sleep from crying because of hunger and cold, and the world could neither see nor hear nor speak.

After 470 days, the war ended...
We did not catch our breath except for a few hours, and another war of a different kind began, which was even more cruel. It is a war of survival. The suffering began to appear little by little from here and there, in all directions and in all aspects. The psychological, economic, and social war and the war in search of resources, first water and food, then shelter that cannot be repaired... Even returning to our home, which we have always dreamed of, has become difficult, as there is no home or shelter. Or even we do not have the expensive transportation costs to move to northern Gaza.

Dear brothers and sisters, we need your support ❤✌
