Hello everyone! I've never done anything like this but God came knocking on my door tonight and so here I am. My friend Abdou lives in The Gambia, a country in West Africa. Abdou first reached out to me in 2022 and mentioned to me that his brother was starving and even video called me to show that he was indeed a real person living in extreme poverty. I wired him some money so he could buy food for himself and his siblings and he was so glad that someone in this world actually cared. Unfortunately, months passed and Abdou reached out to me saying that his brother had passed away. I've been facing adversity in my own life but my life would be considered luxurious to a kid like Abdou. Earlier in the evening, Abdou called me as I was doom-scrolling and immediately my heart and brain told me "this is God knocking at your door". Abdou didn't call me to ask for money he just wanted to see a friendly face. He mentioned that his father recently passed away and so the responsibility of taking care of his younger siblings is left to him. Abdou is such a bright soul. He brings something to this world that is a lost treasure and that treasure is vulnerability.
