Help my Brothers kids know a brighter future.
“Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened.” - Dr. Seuss
While coming back from a 3-week road trip I received the news my brother Mike died due to a tragic motorcycle accident minutes after his 35th birthday. He left behind two of the sweetest little kids you'll ever meet, Hannah and Jacob. In short, my goal and purpose of this fundraiser is to help give them a brighter future. Please help me, and my family, and share in the knowledge that even though their father may not be here physically, there is a huge world out there of people who care and are there for them in some capacity. We are all doing everything we can to find, and even create, some good from this horrible situation.
I miss you like f'n crazy. With all the crazy stuff we've done, I never thought it would come to this. I promise the kids will forever know who you were and to keep your memory alive.
(I also promise to re-watch all the Jeff Dunham and Bill Engvall skits to laugh with you soon)
Every cent of this fundraiser will go toward his Memory and a Trust for the kids. No amount of love shared is too small. If you knew Mike, please, in the comments, share a good memory you had together. I know the family, friends and myself would love to hear them.
Love you Mickey.

From the bottom of my soul, thank you for anything you can do. There will be a public Vigil toward the end of September in Mikes memory. Think of it as a Celebration of Life. I'll make updates on here regularly as we get closer to it. If you are reading this, you are invited, and I would love to see you. If you can’t make it, someday I hope our paths cross and I'm able to thank you in person.
Thank you again for taking the time to read, feel, share, contribute, etc. It means the world to me and everyone around him.
Much love to all,
Jay Skorupski

Heres a snippet of his the Obituary to help get a better idea of who he was;
If you can picture a human version of a cartoon character with zero fear, mixed with an insatiable love for anything over the top and the incredible ability to make you pee your pants laughing at just about anything, you knew Michael Jon Skorupski (aka Skrubby).
Unfortunately, his “go big or go home” mantra was lived out till the very end. On Aug 27, 2021 around 12:15 AM Mike was involved in a tragic motorcycle accident near his home in New Britain, CT. He had just turned 35 years old the day before. Born August 26th, 1986 and from that moment on, Mike affected everyone that he met. He couldn’t leave anything alone. At first, fixing things was out of curiosity; taking apart a perfectly good toaster, but then it quickly became necessity as he broke most things…. I mean everything. But when he put it back together, it worked better than and ever. Who knew duct tape and bubble gum fixes most things?
Mikes academic years were highlighted by his love for Wrestling and BMX bikes. His desire for anything fast started when he was really young. If it had wheels and he could be on, in or around it, that’s where he was. I’m pretty sure if you look up “hell on wheels” in the dictionary, you’ll see his picture. Once he got a car, everything changed. After having and breaking 30+ vehicles, he knew he could put his tinkering ability to good use. He took up a passion for doing body work and painting cars which he became exceptional at during his time at Crowley Autobody.
He’s survived by his 2 children; Hannah and Jacob Skorupski, his mother; Pamela Skorupski, his father; Paul Skorupski (Joanne Germaine), his brother; Jason Skorupski, his maternal grandparents; Harold and Renate Hoffman, aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as his fiancé; Alexandra Standish and too numerous to mention friends. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents; Eugene and Shirley Skorupski
