Help My Brother's Family Through a Medical Crisis
Donation protected
Hi everyone! I'm reaching out today with a heavy heart to ask for help for my brother and his family, who are going through an incredibly difficult time.
In 2018, my brother had melanoma removed from his shoulder. He thought that chapter was behind him, but in April of this year, he began experiencing severe abdominal pain. After multiple ER visits with no answers, he was finally diagnosed on April 30: Stage IV melanoma - the melanoma returned and it has spread to his liver and bowel. Just two weeks later, he began Immunotherapy. Unfortunately, after just 1 treatment, his body had a severe reaction. He was hospitalized for a week - bed bound, requiring oxygen and a morphine drip to manage the pain. He's now home, but far from well. He still needs oxygen at times, uses a walker due to weakness, and continues to take strong pain medication. He's unable to work.
The next treatment option is a chemotherapy pill, which may extend his life, but comes with extremely harsh side effects.
His wife is also struggling with serious health issues, including progressive vision loss, which has left her unable to work. They have 2 daughters living at home, ages 2 and 13, both with autism and requiring significant care. While family is helping with the children as much as possible, the emotional and financial toll is overwhelming. As they face this fight, they are dealing with mounting expenses and no steady income.
I'm hoping to raise funds to help cover medical bills including travel expenses, basic living costs, and ensure some stability for their family during this devastating time. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps. If you are unable to give, sharing this post would mean so much.
Thank you for reading and keeping their family in your thoughts. Your support truly makes a difference.
