My name is Claudia, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my brother-in-law, Marco Antonio Olivas, and his family, a firefighter in Culiacán, Sinaloa, who was recently involved in a severe motorcycle accident.

Marco suffered serious injuries in the crash. He lost a significant amount of blood, broke his arm and leg, and now faces a long and challenging recovery ahead that includes multiple reconstructive surgeries, hospitalization, and extensive physical therapy. His recovery will take time and continued care.

Marco is a dedicated firefighter and trained aquatic first responder who has rescued many people during life-threatening emergencies. He has assisted in multiple high-risk rescues and also volunteers as a swimming instructor for children with disabilities.

Marco is newly married to my sister, and this summer they welcomed their first baby girl. He was especially looking forward to spending his first Christmas with his daughter, a moment that means the world to him and his family. This accident happened during what should have been one of the happiest times of their lives.

As Marco focuses on healing, he will be unable to work, while medical and rehabilitation expenses continue to grow. I started this fundraiser to help cover surgery costs, medical treatments, physical therapy, rehabilitation, and basic household expenses.
