Help My Brother Soar to His Dream of Becoming a Pilot ✈️

Hi everyone,

I’m Alexia, and I’m reaching out to share my brother’s story. He’s one of the most hardworking and determined people I know, and his dream is to become a pilot. Right now, he’s in his first year of the Science and Aviation program at the University of Waterloo, one of the best aviation programs in Canada. Getting into this program was one of the proudest moments of his life, and he’s been working hard to make the most of this opportunity—he even passed all his classes last semester with flying colors.

But as proud as we are of him, our family is struggling to keep up with the financial demands of his education.

My mom, our rock, has been doing everything she can to support both of us—I’m also in nursing school, and she’s carrying the weight of funding two educations on her shoulders. Unfortunately, despite her best efforts, we’ve hit roadblocks. We’ve approached banks and financial institutions for loans, but they won’t approve us because: 1. We don’t have collateral (we live in a small, rented apartment), and 2. My mom’s income isn’t enough to qualify for a loan of this size.

My brother’s education means the world to him—and to us. He is extremely passionate and my mom and I want nothing more than to see him succeed. My brother’s education depends on consistent funding, and our mom is already stretched thin.
