My name is Max posada, my 17-year-old brother, Nehemiah Montes, is an amazing, goofy, and loving boy who has always brought joy to our family. He was just 10 days away from his 18th birthday and so close to graduating high school—a milestone he had worked so hard for. His teachers adored him, and he was the kind of son who would kiss his mom goodnight every night, showing his sweet and caring nature. He was inspiring to become a firefighter, hoping to help save lives and make a difference in his community.
On December 13, 2025, our lives changed forever when he was shot three times when awaiting an Uber home. He was a victim of a robber by other teens. The road ahead is long and uncertain. He now faces a challenging recovery, with immense medical and therapy bills. Our mom has become his main caregiver, unable to work so she can be by his side every step of the way. The love and support he receives from her means everything to him, and all he wants is to have her next to him each night as he fights to regain his ability to walk, talk, and move again. Nehemiah had plans to become a Firefighter and help save lives.
We are reaching out for help because the mountain he has to climb is immense, but he is climbing it day by day. Any amount of support for my brother helps our family stay together and gives him the best chance at recovery. Your kindness will make a real difference in his journey, and we are deeply grateful for any help you can give. I will use the funds on Nehemiahs behalf to pay for any medical needs outside of his insurance coverage, physical therapy and in home care costs, and to aid our mom and 2 aunts that have been by Maihs side day and night since he was admitted. They have been living at the hospital and needs assistance with everyday necessity’s. All funds will be used only after discussing with immediate family on how each amount will be spent for maximum transparency.
