On Tuesday, May 26, 2026, my younger brother lost everything in a house fire in Suffolk, VA. Thankfully, he made it out safely, but the fire destroyed nearly all of his belongings, including his furniture, clothing, wallet, identification, car keys, and other personal items. After returning home from work Tuesday morning, he noticed smoke coming from the front of his home. Within moments, part of the living room was already in flames. He safely exited through the back of the house and contacted Suffolk Fire & Rescue. We later learned the fire was caused by an electrical issue involving a window A/C unit.
As a family, we are doing everything we can to help him during this difficult time, but the road to recovery will be overwhelming. I created this GoFundMe to help ease some of the financial burden as he works to replace basic necessities and begin rebuilding his life.
Any donation, no matter the amount, would truly mean so much to him and our family. If you are unable to donate financially, prayers, shares, clothing, or essential items are also greatly appreciated. Current clothing sizes: • Shirt: Large • Underwear: Large • Pants: 36x34 • Shoe Size: 9 If anyone would like to donate clothing or other essential items directly, you can message me here or email me at [email redacted]. I will keep everyone updated on his Road 2 Recovery.
