I honestly never imagined I would have to make a post like this, and asking for help is not easy for me, but right now, I’m asking from the bottom of my heart. My mom and dad have both passed away, and one of the most precious things they left behind was their home—a home they worked so incredibly hard for. A home filled with years of memories, love, laughter, and pieces of them that can never be replaced. Sadly, the recent flood hit their home, where my brother now lives, and he lost almost everything inside. Seeing the home my parents worked their entire lives for destroyed and seeing my brother lose everything he had is absolutely heartbreaking.

My brother is disabled, blind in one eye, and lives on a limited monthly disability check. He does not have insurance on the house, but right now there are still so many things he needs and so much that was lost inside the home. As their daughter, it breaks my heart to see everything my mom and dad worked so hard for damaged in a matter of moments. And as a sister, it hurts even more knowing my brother is going through this and doesn’t have the financial means to simply start over. So today, I’m putting my pride aside and asking for help. Anything donated will go toward helping my brother replace what he lost and get back on his feet. No amount is too small. This isn’t just a house to us. It’s our mom and dad’s home. It’s their hard work, their memories, and a piece of them that we still have here with us.
