Hi, my name is Farrah, and I’m raising funds for my brother, Refad, who is bravely fighting to rebuild his life after a tragic motorcycle accident that changed everything.

At just 21 years old, my brother was full of dreams, energy, and plans for his future. He was outgoing, social, healthy, and would do anything for anyone who needed him until last July [2024], when he got into a near-fatal motorcycle accident that left him with catastrophic injuries. He broke nearly every bone in his body, suffered multiple strokes, and was in a coma for six weeks. When he finally woke up, he was facing a traumatic brain injury and had lost all function in his right arm.

Since then, he has spent months in intensive rehabilitation—learning how to talk, walk, and eat all over again. Every day has been a battle, but he continues to show resilience, courage, and determination.

Now, we are hoping to get him a nerve transplant surgery that could potentially restore function to his right arm. This surgery is a critical step toward giving him back some of the independence he’s lost.

The funds raised will help cover:

• Medical treatments and surgeries (including the upcoming nerve transplant)

• Ongoing therapy and rehabilitation

• Basic living expenses while he is unable to work

• Support for his continued education and long-term recovery

My brother is one of the kindest, strongest people I know and deserves a second chance at life. Our family is doing everything we can to help ease him back into life, but we can’t do it alone.
