My name is Kim, and I am writing this with a heavy heart to ask for help for my family.

Last night, my brother-in-law Ray was involved in a horrific accident on the very first day of their holiday in Turkey. What should have been a short trip has turned into a nightmare.

Ray fell through a glass on balcony, severing a main artery. He was rushed into emergency surgery and is now in intensive care fighting for his life. Watching someone you love go through something like this is beyond words, and our whole family is in shock.

To make things even more devastating, their medical insurance is not able cover any of the costs. We are now facing overwhelming medical bills with no support.

So far, the costs have already gone over £3,000 and continue to rise every single day that Ray remains in intensive care. He still needs ongoing treatment, and we don’t know how long this will continue.

My sister Claire had travelled to Turkey for dental treatment, and Ray had gone with her to support her. Now she is alone in a foreign country, sitting by his bedside, not knowing what will happen next. Back home, she has four children who need her, while she is dealing with the most terrifying time of her life.

We are completely heartbroken and desperate to help them in any way we can.
