Life sometimes delivers news that changes everything in an instant. Recently, my brother—one of the most genuine, compassionate, selfless, and loving people I know—was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphatic Leukemia (CLL). It has been a heavy and emotional blow for our family.

CLL is something he will have to live with and manage for the rest of his life. His treatment will require daily medication and routine bloodwork every three months to monitor the disease. On top of that, he recently underwent a medical procedure that has left him unable to work for the next several months. While he is receiving some support through short-term disability, it unfortunately does not come close to covering his basic living expenses.

Right now, he is facing the stress of managing a serious medical condition while also worrying about how to afford medication, food, and everyday bills during this difficult period.
