Help My Mom Support Noah’s Healing Journey

My name is Kyle Kreutz-Lovecchio, and I am reaching out with a heavy heart during an incredibly challenging time for our family. I have started this fundraiser to support my mother, Pamela Lovecchio, as she cares for my younger brother, Noah Lovecchio, who is battling a severe and dangerous infection following surgery to remove his ruptured appendix.

On December 16th, Noah was rushed to the St. Catharines ER with severe abdominal pain, a high fever, and vomiting. He was diagnosed with a perforated appendix and a serious complication where his bowels had become entangled around it. Due to the unavailability of a surgeon, surgery was scheduled for the next morning. He was admitted to a private room, where he received pain medication to ease his symptoms.

Throughout the night, Noah’s condition worsened. He began having difficulty breathing, requiring oxygen, and his fever and headache continued to escalate. My mom and I stayed by his side until his surgery the following morning. The procedure, which lasted over two hours, was complicated due to the appendix being positioned abnormally high in his body and wrapped around his bowels. Gangrene had spread more extensively than initially believed.

While the surgery offered temporary relief, Noah’s condition quickly deteriorated. His fever spiked again, and he began experiencing new symptoms, including discharging blood. It became clear that he was not improving, and my mom made the difficult decision to take time off work to focus entirely on Noah’s care.

For those who don’t know Noah personally, he is a kind-hearted, humble young man with a bright future ahead. His lifelong dream is to help others as a firefighter. He has already started taking online courses and working toward his goal of attending firefighting school. Tragically, Noah will spend his 19th birthday on December 21st and likely Christmas in the hospital.

On top of this emotional struggle, the financial burden has been overwhelming for our family. My mom, who has been by Noah’s side day and night, is facing mounting expenses for rent, utilities, groceries, and the holidays—all while being unable to work. The stress of these financial challenges only adds to the difficulty of this already heartbreaking situation.

We are asking for your help to support my mom and alleviate some of this burden so she can continue to focus on Noah’s recovery without the constant worry of financial strain.
