Hi, my name is Shakiyla, and I’m raising funds for my 16-year-old brother who is bravely fighting T-Cell Leukemia.

After battling this aggressive cancer and already undergoing a stem cell transplant, my brother has unfortunately relapsed. His doctors have advised that his best chance at survival now lies in an advanced treatment program at Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital in Rome, Italy, one of the world’s leading pediatric cancer centers.

The cost of this life-saving treatment is $117,000 and he will need to remain in Italy for approximately two months. Unfortunately, insurance does not cover any portion of this treatment or the related expenses, including international travel, housing, and daily living costs for both my brother and caregiver.

Once he completes treatment in Italy, my brother will need to return to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas to undergo another stem cell transplant, which is a critical next step in his fight against this disease.

Despite everything he has endured, my brother continues to show incredible strength, resilience, and courage. At just 16 years old, he deserves the chance to heal, grow up, and live the full life ahead of him.
