I am trying to raise the funds needed to rebuild after Hurricanes Helene AND Milton. They took a double hit in less than 2 weeks. My brother, Drew, his wife Patricia and their 3 year old son lost everything in the flood that Hurricane Helene brought. Then, only 2 weeks later they were hit again by Hurricane Milton. They live in Tampa, FL., in the house of a relative. The homeowner doesn't have insurance. His house and neighborhood has NEVER flooded so hardly anyone has flood insurance. Drew already had the house gutted and was ready to start framing it back in after the FIRST hurricane when he had to evacuate his family to safety AGAIN from Milton. Although the owner is paying for most of the materials, from his personal savings account, Drew is paying what he can and is doing ALL of the work himself to rebuild the house in time for their next son's birth in less than 4 weeks. Both Drew and the home owner (80 yrs old) are disabled Veterans and have very limited funds which are disability benefits from the military. They lost everything they own, except what they were able to put on top shelves in the house. For now, they are living in an airbnb that is very expensive, but they are grateful to have a roof over their head. They need to rebuy EVERYTHING, including what's needed for the new baby. Please, help me raise the money they need to move back into their home, and in time for the baby. Every single penny will help them. They have already applied to FEMA for help, but still have not heard back from first storm. They need help NOW! Prayers are greatly appreciated as well.
