Help My Brother and His Family Get Home Safely

Hi, my name is Sophie, and I’m setting up this GoFundMe to help my brother, Kyle Matthews, and his family, who are going through a very traumatic and frightening situation.

They are currently on holiday in Turkey with his fiancée, Staci Wilson, and their two young children. What was meant to be a happy family trip has turned into a nightmare.

My brother suddenly became seriously unwell and was rushed to hospital, where he has been diagnosed with bacterial pneumonia, with suspected Legionnaires’ disease. This is a very serious and potentially life-threatening condition, and he is currently receiving treatment in hospital.

Although they had travel insurance, it requires a £200 excess fee, which they have already paid just for my brother to be seen. Unfortunately, his fiancée and their two children are also now unwell, but they cannot afford the additional costs needed for them to receive medical care.

To make matters worse, they have been told they are unable to fly home for at least 11 days. They are now stuck in Turkey with no funds for accommodation, medical treatment, or basic essentials.

We are trying to raise money to help cover:

• Medical treatment for his fiancée and children

• Safe accommodation while they remain in Turkey

• Food and daily essentials

• Travel costs to return home when they are able

As you can imagine, they are extremely scared and overwhelmed. This is our last resort to try and get them the help they urgently need.
