We never imagined we would be in a place where we’d have to write something this personal, but today our family needs the strength of a bigger community. My brother Randy has been diagnosed with stomach cancer. In the beginning, things looked hopeful — doctors believed chemo would shrink the cancer enough to remove his stomach. But after four rounds, the cancer continued to spread.
Randy has now been referred to UC Irvine in California for urgent clinical trials. He is only 43 years young, with so much life left to live. And if you know Randy, you know he is a fighter until the very last second. Even as the window of hope narrows, he refuses to give up — and neither will we.
The doctors have made it clear that he must act now. So we are turning to our family, our friends, and our community. We’ve done everything we can financially, and now we humbly ask for your support. If you cannot donate, please help us by sharing Randy’s story. Every share brings us closer to someone who might be able to make a difference.
Randy was given a second chance in life and turned everything around for the better. He has fought too hard to stop now. With your support, love, and prayers, we believe he can keep fighting.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with him — and with us — during the most difficult battle of his life.
