My dog is currently fighting for his life after suffering a twisted stomach and needing emergency surgery. I have had him since he was only 5 weeks old, and he has been by my side through everything. He isn’t just a dog to me—he’s family. He recently became a father and just had puppies, which makes this situation even harder. He is only 3 years old and should have so much life ahead of him. Anyone who knows him knows how gentle and loving he is. He wouldn’t hurt a butterfly—he actually chases them around the yard. He lets my little cousins climb on him and ride him around, and he is the biggest baby you’ll ever meet. He has a way of knowing when someone is upset and will come lay beside them until they feel better. He’s been there for me during some of the hardest times in my life and has always been a source of comfort and happiness. Whether I was working on my four-wheelers or dirt bikes, he was always right there beside me. He has been my best friend and constant companion for years.
