Hi, I’m raising funds for my best friend — a strong, loving mum who has been through more than anyone should ever have to face.
After surviving a long period of domestic abuse, my friend and her daughters finally have a chance to start again. A safe place where they can begin to rebuild their lives. But instead of stepping into a home, they’re stepping into an empty space — because when she fled, she had to leave everything behind.
Her former partner was recently imprisoned for 40 months, with a further 12 months probation, and she has been granted a 7-year non-harassment order to protect her and her daughters. These legal steps brought some safety, but the emotional, financial, and physical impact remains.
Right now, they have nothing as have been living in women's refuge — no furniture, no beds, no kitchenware, no curtains — just a bare shell. She’s also unable to return to work due to the trauma she’s still recovering from. For someone who once poured herself into teaching and helping others, this is a deeply painful pause in her life. But she keeps going, for her girls.
She would never ask for this help herself — so I’m doing it for her.
This fund will help my beautiful friend turn this empty space into a real home — a safe haven filled with warmth, calm, and comfort. Your donation will go towards:
️ Beds and bedding so they don’t have to sleep on the floor
️ Kitchen essentials so they can eat together again
A sofa and table so they can be together in peace
Everyday items like towels, curtains, cleaning supplies, and toiletries
Small touches to help her girls feel safe, secure, and settled
She has shown such bravery, not only in leaving but in staying strong through court, recovery, and keeping her daughters safe. She’s working so hard to rebuild from scratch — all she needs now is a little help to make her new house a home.
If you can donate or even just share, it would mean the world. Every bit of support helps her get one step closer to a life she’s fought so hard to reclaim.
Thank you for reading and standing beside her.
