Hello, my name is Katy. My babies name is Dodge. He turned 1 year old September of 2023.

when he was little he had a limp off and on. Did some X-rays at a young age, but as puppies their hips look quite funny as they are still growing! Well we did X-rays when he turned 1 year and they did not look normal, we had wonderful Paul from Loyalist orthopedic do some X-rays on Dodge, and he was extremely concerned so they were sent to Capital City Vet in Kanata. Next thing I know we are booking an appointment to see Dr Biskup for a consultation. At day of consultation, Dr Biskup and I discussed options for Dodge and he stated he would need a Total Hip Replacement. The cost for surgery is $11,000. As much as I wanted to try and figure out how to do it on my own. As a single mom working full time and trying to get through life as best as I can. I am here asking for help

Dodge is a truly unique boy, he loves everyone that walks up to him, loves to think he is everyone’s friend! He is 97lbs and thinks he is a 5lb dog, he just wants all the loving. Him and my son are bestest of friends and our tiny little family would not be the same without Dodge. He truly is my best friend. He has helped me through so much in life, I lost my brother suddenly September 2022, and Dodge came into my life in October and I felt as if my brother sent him my way. He was truly my brothers last gift to me

so please help my best friend and a piece of my brother get the surgery he needs!
