Help Save Blue’s Eye – Emergency Vet Care Needed

Hi everyone, my name is Marum, and I’m reaching out for help during one of the most difficult moments I’ve had as a dog parent. My sweet dog Blue, a loyal and loving Australian Shepherd/Red Heeler mix, is currently suffering from what appears to be a corneal ulcer in one of his eyes. It started with him squinting and pawing at his face, and it’s only gotten worse. His eye has become irritated, slightly swollen, and cloudy. It breaks my heart to see him in pain and discomfort, knowing that without proper medical treatment, he could lose his vision—or even his eye altogether.

I’ve done everything I can at home to keep him comfortable, but this is beyond what I can treat myself. A corneal ulcer can deteriorate quickly, and time is critical. If left untreated, it can deepen, rupture the eye, and lead to permanent blindness or the need for surgical removal of the eye. I’ve reached out to local organizations and low-cost clinics, but many are overwhelmed or require upfront payments I simply can’t afford right now.

I’ve fallen on hard times financially, and although it hurts my pride to ask, I know Blue’s health and future are far more important than that. He’s not just a dog—he’s family. He’s been my companion, my emotional support, and my shadow. He greets me with love every day no matter what’s going on in my life, and now he needs me more than ever.

I’m raising funds to cover:

• A full veterinary exam

• Diagnostic eye testing (like a fluorescein stain test)

• Prescription medications (antibiotic and pain-relieving eye drops)

• Any follow-up visits or emergency treatments

• Possible surgery if the ulcer is too deep or at risk of rupture
