Hello, my name is Sophie, and I never imagined I would be writing something like this.

In December last year, my beautiful sister has been diagnosed with cancer, and from that moment our world has changed. Life has suddenly filled with a lot of hospital visits, treatments, long waits, and a kind of fear and heartbreak you can never prepare for. Watching my sister, someone I love more than words can explain, face this battle has been the hardest thing our family has experienced.

She is more than just my sister, she is my best friend, my support, my constant. Seeing her strength through this, even on the days she is exhausted, in pain, or scared, is both heartbreaking and inspiring. Cancer has already taken so much away from her already, yet she continues to show incredible courage and resilience every single day.

This fundraiser is something I never wanted to create, but it’s something we truly need. Cancer doesn’t only affect mental health, it impacts every part of life. The financial stress, the travel, the treatments and the time away from work all add up, and my hope is that this fundraiser can ease even a small part of that burden so my sister can focus on healing.
