Help, my beautiful Aunt Vicky!

Dear Family and Friends,

I am writing to ask for your help during a challenging time in my dear Aunt Vicky’s life.  

She’s my mother’s one and only sister, who lives in Mexico. 

Despite being generally healthy and keeping a balanced diet, my Aunt Vicky was recently admitted to the hospital in Puerto Vallarta with a blockage in her intestines. Despite the doctor's best efforts, she required surgery which was successful for her intestines, but complications arose for her lungs due to stomach fluids. As a result, she was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit in a better-equipped hospital.

Although she is still in the Intensive Care Unit, I am relieved to report that she is steadily improving.  However, due to a discrepancy in her name on her birth certificate and that of her daughters, she is not covered by their social security medical benefits, which means that the medical bills are mounting rapidly for them.

Aunt Vicky always came to Houston to take care of us during my family’s times of need and I want to give back to her this way.

I appreciate your generosity in advance for any amount you can manage, that will surely go a long way in Mexico.  Healing thoughts and prayers for Aunt Vicky’s full recovery are also welcome, so that she can go back to her prayer groups and weekly volunteering activities in Puerto Vallarta.
