My baby sister is not even two years old, and she’s currently fighting for her life in the ICU at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. She was diagnosed with walking pneumonia, and her condition has become so serious that she’s been sedated, with her oxygen levels not improving. My parents have had to stop working so they can be by her side, and with three other little kids at home, it’s been overwhelming for all of us. My mom is one of the hardest workers I know, but right now, there’s just no way to make enough to cover rent, bills, and all the things our family needs while she’s away from work. The bills are starting to add up fast, and we’re scared about how we’ll keep our home and provide for everyone during this emotional time.
We live two hours away from the hospital, so every day is a challenge—between travel, lost work, and not having any savings to fall back on, it’s hard to see a way forward. The funds raised here will help us keep our house, pay for electricity, water, and heat, and make sure our family of six can stay together and safe while my sister recovers. We don’t know how long she’ll be in the hospital, but we want to be there for her every step of the way, without worrying about losing our home or falling behind on bills.
I’m so grateful you’re taking the time to read this and learn about my baby sister. She means everything to our family—she’s such a happy, sweet girl, always full of love and kindness. Even though she’s so young, she’s always asking if you’re okay, and now she’s the one who needs help. She deserves to come home to her mom, dad, and sisters, surrounded by love and support. If you’re able to help, it would mean the world to us. Thank you for caring about our family and for giving my sister the chance to heal without my parents having to struggle alone.
