PLEASE HELP SAVE our pretty girl PUP PUP

Pup pup my precious kitten, the reason for my smile every morning and my motivation when life starts hitting hard, was experiencing labored breathing.

Today, after having xrays done by her primary veterinarian, I was told she has fluid in her chest, also fluid surrounding her heart. Her doctor told me her condition is not good and that she’d need to be seen immediately at an Emergency Veterinary Hospital.

Today she had 60ml of fluid removed from her chest, with a moderate amount still remaining.  Pup pup was also given a diuretic injection. Her cardiac marker test came back normal (which makes heart failure less likely !) There could be several causes to the fluid in her chest and without further aggressive diagnostic testing and treatment-her condition will decline and the alternative is, no other alternative...

I don’t have children, I am anxiously awaiting to start a family someday, but pup pup IS my child. I look at her as my baby that I vowed to love, raise, care for, protect, and provide a home for when I rescued her 5 years ago. She’s just that, a baby- she’s supposed to stick around for MANY more years with me. Anyone that’s ever had a chance to encounter her friendly greetings or polite head bumps has sung her praises to what a pleasure she is. Known to be up under you, she got her name from following around like a pup.

I was due to go back to work in September as businesses began to reopen when I suffered an accident causing injury to my right ankle. Unable to drive or stand on my ankle for more than an hour at a time-I have been unable to work and myself, am anxiously awaiting to begin physical therapy so I can get back to the grind.

I cannot say goodbye and choose humane euthanasia, NOR can I give up on my baby pup pup. Unfortunately, payment plans are not available through the hospital which means she cannot receive life saving treatment as her condition declines until these financial hurdles are met.

It hurts to put her in a position where she cannot receive the care she deserves because at this time we’re JUST making it through this pandemic. I am not an essential worker, I became unemployed March 16th and as mentioned, I would have returned to work September 8th had my accident not happened. As I know life is out of our control, I consider myself to be a person that usually has everything under control and this is not one of those times.

Pup pup needs immediate hospitalization. There she will continue to receive oxygen, and be seen by a cardio specialist for a consult where she will have an echocardiogram done. This will help determine what she is suffering from and furthermore what treatment she needs. The fluid removed from her chest needs to be sent out and analyzed, as the remaining amount still needs to be removed. Please help me give her a fighting chance to receive the medical treatment she deserves now.

I would like to thank everyone for your kind words of positivity and encouragement as well as your considerate donations to helping save mine and my baby’s life I am forever grateful for all of you.
