Help my aunt find housing and a fresh start!

Hello!

My 71yr old aunt is separating from her husband after 40+ years of marriage and needs a fresh start.

In the meantime, she needs to find temporary safe housing ASAP, allowing her time to rebuild her life. She must leave her house by Friday and has no place to stay. We are trying to find friends or family members she can stay with in LA, but we haven't had luck. We keep looking.

While she works part-time as a house and pet sitter, she does not have enough income to stay at a hotel or rent an apartment. She broke her arm and had surgery for it earlier this year, which has made it difficult for her to work, and, therefore, difficult to save money to find a place to stay.

She owes a significant amount of past due rent and has accrued other debts due to limited income. I am hoping to raise funds to support her in both finding temporary housing as well as paying bills in order to stabilize long term.

I have come down to LA to look for support, but so far have not been successful. I am reaching out on social media and Go Fund Me to try to find help. I am VERY worried about my aunt, who desperately needs help. Any support you can provide would be greatly appreciated. No amount is too small. Also, if you have connections in the greater LA area for places she might be able to stay for cheap or free, please reach out! She would love to find a living situation where she can partially trade pet or house sitting in exchange for rent.
