Help my Aunt fight Stills disease

Hiya my name is Maryama and I am raising funds for my beloved aunt Sarah Farah. She went from being a nurse to a patient at the hospital she used to work at. My auntie was a very active person who enjoyed going to the gym even in her busy schedule. She is a mother of 8 children and family is very important to her. She went from being active to needing crutches and being bed bound. This change happened somewhat overnight, it started off small and was eventually diagnosed with Stills disease. Stills is a rare autoimmune disease that happens to less than one in 100,000. It causes inflammation to your joints and organs.

My aunt is a special case, she has currently been undergoing treatment for Stills disease but the right treatment hasn’t been found yet. Nevertheless, she has been in the capable hands of her colleagues at the NHS. Her condition has been aggressive on and off since January and as you can imagine this has had a toll on her physical, mental health and her family life. Being sick for over six months has had an effect on her family life as well as her finances as she has been in hospital.

She is not one to ask for help and is known within the community for helping others. She has also helped me more than she’ll ever know. Aunt Sahra has handled this sickness with such grace and patience. Whilst continuing to fulfil her mother duties to her children, she has been an immense inspiration to me. I am aiming to run the ASICS 10k for her. I know she will get better inshallah as she’s been such a trooper. We just need to motivate her to the finish line.
