Help My Aunt After Life-Threatening Medical Emergency
Donation protected
UPDATE:
Sara has had three more hospital stays in the last month revealing another blockage in her intestines, which have already been severely damaged, and she has been unable to keep hardly any food down in the last month. She will be going in again for another surgery. Her hospital bills are multiplying and her husband has no more time off work which makes it even harder for them to get the funds they need. She needs prayers that her body will be strong enough to withstand another surgery, so that she can return to her family.
What was supposed to be a routine gallbladder removal turned into a terrifying, life-threatening ordeal for my sweet aunt Sara. During surgery, complications arose that led to four additional emergency surgeries to save her life.
Instead of going home the next day, she was placed into a medically induced coma for several days. Her condition worsened—she went into A-fib, a serious heart rhythm issue, and developed sepsis, a dangerous infection that can spread rapidly and be fatal.
There were moments we truly didn’t know if she would survive. Our family was holding our breath, hoping and praying she would make it through. Miraculously, she did, and she’s finally starting to recover. But the journey ahead is long, and the emotional toll has now been matched by an enormous financial one.
What was meant to be one day in the hospital will now be stretched into over a month, with still a few more weeks in the hospital to go. The medical bills are piling up, and my aunt and her family are overwhelmed by the debt they now face on top of the trauma of nearly losing a wife and an amazing, selfless mother.
We’re asking for help, anything you can give will go directly toward her hospital bills and recovery costs. Even if you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser means the world to us. Thank you for your support, love, and prayers during the hardest time our family has faced.
