Hi, my name is Brittany, and I’m raising funds for TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) and neurofeedback treatments to help with my mental health. These treatments help retrain the brain to regulate itself better, but they’re extremely costly and not fully covered by insurance.
If I cannot raise these funds for TMS, it will go towards my NET (Neuro Emotional Technique) sessions with my doctor. These sessions help me release unresolved emotional beliefs and patterns that are stored in the body. NET helps with reducing emotional roadblocks that contribute with trauma, burnout, anxiety and more.
I’m autistic and have ADHD (AuDHD), which means my brain never truly slows down. It struggles to rest, even when I’m exhausted. My thoughts race, my nervous system stays stuck in high alert, and relaxing feels nearly impossible.
Overtime, this leads to chronic anxiety, sensory overload, burnout, melt-downs, poor sleep, and emotional exhaustion and leads my body stuck in survival mode. During periods of fatigue, I would be too exhausted to help my hunger. I would often experience decision paralysis so I would be frozen deciding whether to eat or rest. Then eventually it may cause me to cry from the pain of my brain being overwhelmed.
In the images, there is an image of my EEG brain scan, which shows excess synchrony, meaning my brain is overly connected and stuck in a constant state of overactivity. Instead of different brain areas working independently, they are firing together all at once — a pattern linked to chronic anxiety, brain fog, fatigue, and difficulty regulating stress and emotions. This neurological dysfunction typically requires specialized treatment and monitoring.
TMS and neurofeedback are non-invasive treatments that help retrain the brain. The goal is to calm overactive brain pathways and help my nervous system regulate itself better — essentially helping my brain learn how to relax again. These treatments are recommended when therapy and medication alone do not work, especially for people with neurodivergent brains like mine.
Any support — whether through donating or sharing — would mean the world to me. I'm asking for support so my brain finally can breathe. This isn’t a mindset issue or something I can “push through.” It’s how my nervous system is wired. This treatment isn’t about “fixing” who I am; it’s about helping my brain feel safer, calmer, and more balanced so I can function and live with less anxiety and exhaustion.
In simpler terms: My brain is like an engine that’s always revving, even when the car is parked. The treatments help teach the engine how to idle again. I’m asking for support so I can access care that actually matches how my brain works.
Any donation, share, or kind word means more than I can say. This is to improve my quality of life, reduce daily suffering, and finally give my nervous system a chance to feel safe and calm.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for supporting my healing journey.
