Mom is doing well with radiation! She is talking so much better, and now working on her cognitive and motor skills. Today is her last radiation treatments, and if all goes well, she will be discharged to a rehabilitation center tomorrow! In a week, they will be doing an MRI to see if the lesions have shrunk!

The cancer has spread to mom’s brain. She has 4 lesions and is facing possible surgery and

radiation.

** Update **

Mom is now in her 3rd round of chemo. Unfortunately, some of the tumors grew and another formed. This chemo is definitely affecting her, and she can’t do everything she used to. This includes cleaning the house and going to the store. She also doesn’t qualify for any assistance due to financial reasons. My parents don’t make enough, but yet they make too much. It just doesn’t make any sense!!

Any amount of donation will help. This will go towards any copays, meals, and possibly an aid to come a few times a week.

Amazing, Beautiful, Angelic, Intelligent, Strong, and a Fighter. These words describe how I feel about my mom and how grateful I am to have her in my life. I'm not sure what I would do without her.

Joedy is battling Stage 4 Breast Cancer and is currently on her second round of Chemo Treatments. Difficult is not even the word to describe this terrible journey she has been going through, and how it's affecting everyone that loves her. Sometimes I feel helpless because I can't take away her pain like she used to do for me when I was a child. If only it was that easy. What I can do is be there for her, help her around the house, and try to raise money for her to keep up with hospital copays and other bills that like sneak into the mailbox. Here is where you can help!

My goal for my mom is $50,000 but I know this seems a little far away from reality. Any donation amount will help and go a long way for her. Joedy is a fighter and refuses to give up. I would hate to see her not want to continue because she can't afford the treatments anymore, even with health insurance.
