Hello, my name is Traci Webster, and I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my 77-year-old mother, who has recently fallen victim to a cruel and heartbreaking scam.

A few months ago, my mom received a phone call from someone who told her she had won a large cash prize. The caller sounded convincing, professional, and very kind. They told her that in order to collect her winnings, she needed to pay certain “processing fees” and even use her home as collateral to complete the process.

Trusting that she was about to receive a blessing, my mom followed their instructions — only to discover later that it was all a scam. These individuals manipulated her, took advantage of her trust, and used her age and good nature against her. By the time she realized what had happened, she had unknowingly put her home at serious risk.

Now, we are doing everything we can to work with an attorney to reverse the damage and protect her home. Unfortunately, along with the legal fees and court costs it's more than our family can afford. That’s why I’m reaching out for help from the community — to help cover the cost of retaining an attorney, filing the necessary paperwork, and giving my mom a chance to recover from this devastating ordeal.

My mother has always been a loving, giving woman who believed in the goodness of people. It breaks my heart to see her lose her sense of security because of someone’s greed.
