I’m reaching out for help for my 73-year-old father, a man who has always been a pillar in his community and someone who’s spent his life helping others. He’s the kind of person who would give his last to make sure someone else had what they needed.

In 2020, he suffered a stroke. Our family pulled together to help clean and organize his home so he could continue living comfortably. But over the past few years, things have gotten harder for him. His mobility has declined, and he now relies on a cane or a rolling walker to get around.

Recently, his water stopped working, and we learned that the condition of his home had worsened far more than anyone realized. His landlord is now working to restore the well and begin much-needed renovations, but there’s still a long road ahead.

My dad needs help covering:

• Professional deep cleaning

• Pest control services

• New appliances

• Movers to safely remove his belongings during renovation

He lives on SSI, which barely covers his rent and basic bills, leaving nothing left for unexpected expenses like these. I’m doing everything I can to help him get his home back to a safe, clean, and comfortable place to live — but we can’t do it alone.
