Help my 2 year old niece who lost her father

 

Hi, my name is Precious Dadzie.

 

Under normal circumstances I would say this and go on to give a speech or presentation, but this is no such occasion.

 

Instead, I am asking for support due to the tragedy that has recently scarred my family. On Tuesday September 7, 2021 my younger brother unexpectedly passed away. He was only 26 years old. As his older sister, I feel immense weight from this loss since I have always sought to protect him. I also looked forward to growing older with my brother, while continuing to share good memories and shower each other with love. Furthermore, my heart pains as our parents grieve, for none should bear the burden of burying their children.

 

Adding to this, my brother had a daughter of his own whom he welcomed into this world on September 19, 2019. Young Skyler has been a light in our lives and continues to bring us much joy even during this difficult time. She is all we have left of my brother, who while alive was a great provider for her.

 

Due to her father’s death, Skyler will now be primarily raised in a single-income household. Adding to this heartbreak, my niece lost her father 1 week shy of her 2nd birthday. As we prepare to lay him to rest, Sklyer’s future has now become my family and her mother’s main priority.

 

I am asking anyone who is willing for donations to help provide for Skyler‘s well-being. I will also be establishing a 529 college savings fund on her behalf to ensure Skyler’s education is taken care of in the future. I am sure this is what my brother would have wanted for his daughter.
