Hi, my name is Angeles, and I’m fundraising for my little brother, who is only 16 years old. He has cataracts in both eyes, and his vision has been getting worse very quickly. He is now struggling to see at school, at home, and even walking around. He has very little vision on his left eye. Doctors told us he needs urgent surgery on both eyes before the cataracts cause permanent damage.

My brother is a kind, humble, good-hearted teenager. He is an excellent student, always helps my parents, and never complains — even now that he’s losing his vision. Seeing him go through this at such a young age has been heartbreaking.

The cost for both surgeries, exams, anesthesia, and follow-ups is $9,500 USD, and my family simply cannot afford it. We have been trying everything we can, but time is running out, and he needs help as soon as possible. Because the cataracts in his left eye are progressing very rapidly and he is close to going blind.
