Help my nephew Slava to fight cancer

Dear Friends, Today, I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart to share the devastating news that has befallen our family. In late 2023, my beloved 12-year-old nephew, Slava, was diagnosed with a rare and life-threatening brain tumor. As a family, we are rallying together to raise funds for the urgent immunotherapy followed by surgery that Slava desperately needs. The procedure must take place in a specialized clinic in Germany, and your financial support can make this life-saving intervention possible. The doctors have given Slava only a few months to live if he doesn't receive the treatment promptly.

Slava’s Story

A few weeks ago, Slava was a vibrant, happy boy, engaging in activities like playing guitar, chess, cooking, fishing, online studying with his friends and enjoying life's simple pleasures. However, seemingly overnight, he lost control of his eyes` movements prompting a series of consultations across multiple cities in Ukraine. The overloaded and war-torn medical system in Ukraine made it challenging for Slava to receive the attention he needed. As the days unfolded, Slava's condition rapidly deteriorated—he struggled to walk, experienced a loss of hearing, and our hearts sank as we witnessed the erosion of his strength and his will to live.

Fortunately, in November 2023, Slava was accepted for treatment in a clinic in Poland. There, Slava underwent a risky brain stem biopsy and now is going through radiochemotherapy and physical therapy with the good care of a multidisciplinary medical team consisting of neurosurgeons, oncologists, and radiation oncologists. While Slava has shown some improvement through radiochemotherapy and physical therapy, these treatments are not enough. A tumor removing surgery is required to give Slava a chance of survival.

The medical experts strongly advise relocating Slava to a specialized clinic in Germany, where the chances of a successful surgery and survival are the highest. Regrettably, the associated costs are overwhelming, encompassing the intricate surgical procedure, mandatory tests, rehabilitation, and essential living expenses.
