Help My 1 Year Old Dog Who Has Osteosarcoma

Im Bella! A 1 year old Pitbull who yesterday 3/16/2021 I was officially diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in my back right leg, a bone cancer.

 

It all started about a month ago when my mom and dad noticed that I started limping on my back leg, they thought i had just hurt myself because I always get the zoomies! But after I kept limping for a few more days they knew it was time to take me in to the vet.

On 3/6/2021 we visited my Primary Care vet who took Xrays of my leg and without doing a Biopsy said it was a 90% chance of being Osteosarcoma, that I wouldnt make it past the next week and should be put down almost that day.

My pet parents are fighters for me, and wouldnt take that first diagnosis as the only option, and booked me an appointment with a special doctor! An Oncologist and I went in there this past Monday (3/15/2021) where they took great care of me! I had to get more Xrays though since my Primary vets Xrays werent taken right, and couldnt be sent correctly to the Oncologist - and they took my Urine and did a Fine Needle Aspiration on my leg.

 

 

The next day (3/16/2021) my pet parents got a call saying that i did infact 100% have Osteosarcoma in my leg, BUT the good news is it hasnt spread to my lungs, or anywhere else in my body, and my Oncologist said im a GREAT candidate for an Amputation surgery and following up with Chemo afterwards!

 

 

I dont have much time, since Cancer is one heck of a beast - But any help means the world to my family. Ive been with my pet parents since I was born and was picked out and named special by my mom, Im only a year old and would love to pull through this and kick cancer in the butt!

 

All funds will go towards my Amputation Surgery and all things included with it, Chemo after Amputation, and transportation costs to the Vet Hospital.
