Thank you so much for coming to this funding page... My Parents are important to me and my Dad is a super MVP. He's had a lot of ups and downs in life, even got through cancer like a boss. He has a strong will to live. He wants to make it to 100 at least. I am hoping that, with help from this funder, we keep him on that path so he can reach that goal. #FingersCrossed
~On January 4th 2021, my Dad got dose #1 of 2 of the Pfizer vaccine. He still followed safety protocols but sadly it wasn't enough. On January 14th he tested positive for COVID-19. He spent nearly a week in the VA Medical Center [North Las Vegas] ICU before being downgraded then released.
Luckily, his COVID symptoms were very mild and continue to be [knock on wood]. Sadly, though, it was discovered during this that he has Heart Failure. It's unknown if this was something brought upon by the virus but, before his diagnosis there was never any issue with his heart. To my horror, he has to wait to clear the COVID before a Heart Specialist / Cardiologist will see him so it's a bit worrisome and stressful. The VA also wants him to have a home care nurse visiting daily to check his vitals and wellbeing but that also can not happen till the COVID clears. To say this delay in treatment and obstacle with care sucks is an understatement.
In the meantime, he is quarantined alone while on the mend and I am hoping to get him some tools and supplies to get him through COVID and also stack up the odds in his favor regarding the Heart issue.
~Sadly, my job in concert and event production came to a screeching halt in March of 2020 due to the pandemic. It's still unknown when and if my work will return. Though I have gotten some days of work here and there, it's simply not enough. With that, I am hoping to raise funds to supply my Dad with some tools and supplies to get him on his feet again and in front of the heart issue.
I am hoping to pick up more random jobs to pay for some of this but for sure can not cover it all. As time if of the essence in his case, I need assistance sooner rather than later.
I also care for a full house of special needs cats and a super senior [and awesome dog] which cost $$$ in supplies, medications, food, etc. If by any miracle this funder goes over, I will use the overflow to pay for my Dogs' physical therapy sessions and medications. If anything is left, that will go toward my Cat Basil's Cardio vet check up that is coming up in March which generally is $500.
I will post all receipts and updates as they happen to keep everyone tuned in.
