Help Mutts on Main in a time of need

As many of you have heard , Mutts on Main was severely impacted last week by Hurricane Ida. As a frequent and loyal client, I have initiated this fundraiser to assist Nikki and Sean. Our family dog, Hunter, was boarding with Mutts at the Warren facility during Hurricane Ida. Hunter was one of many dogs saved during this unprecedented storm. Words can not express the gratitude our family has to Nikki and Sean, and the Mutts on Main staff for their amazing effort last week to bring the dogs home.

 

See Nikki's note below regarding the recently opened facility in Warren and current state of their business:

 

"We are devastated to announce that we must close at this time. Hurricane Ida hit our new facility in Warren hard on Wednesday evening. Within a matter of minutes the building took on water in a flash flood. We took on 5.5 feet of water inside along with strong currents running throughout. Our building was destroyed as well as all of our social yards and outdoor areas. With Montville still undergoing renovations, we are in the process of figuring out our next steps and the possible rebuilding process, but we will need some time."

 

Many of us in this community use Mutts on Main for dog walking, training, daycare and boarding. Nikki and Sean, as well as their staff, treat each dog as their own with the utmost care and love. What Nikki did not mention in her announcement above, was how she and Sean drove to Warren during the storm from their home in Morris County, to aid their staff who were trapped at the facility. Nikki and Sean navigated a fire rescue team through the turbulent flood waters, to save the dogs, who were carried through windows to the roof and onto boats in order to safely evacuate. The dogs were then brought to Nikki and Sean's home that night and cared for until they were reunited with their families.

 

Please help Mutts on Main through this unforeseen time as they are faced with rebuilding their facility and maintaining their wonderful staff through this difficult period.
