I am currently raising money for Mustafa, a homeless man local to me in Bruntsfield, Edinburgh. Anyone who has been lucky enough to meet him knows the warmth and kindness of this mans spirit. I have been so grateful to get to know him over my two years living here - communicating in broken English, Italian and Spanish.
Mustafa came to the UK to work & raise money for his three children back home in Bulgaria. After suffering a head injury, he was no longer allowed to obtain work due to immigration laws. He does not have access to work back home either. Mustafa remained in Edinburgh to raise money for his children - and currently resides in a homeless shelter where he has access to a kitchen. He relies heavily on the kindness of Bruntsfield locals & families. Every winter Mustafa goes home for a medical examination and to see his family, however can’t afford to do this on his own accord due to work being inaccessible.
I am now reaching out to folks on here who may have a spare few pounds to spare for this kind father. Any contributions will go miles. All proceeds raised will be given to him in cash in an envelope, before or in the last week of November, and will go towards 1) his ticket home 2) essentials such as cleaning supplies and food for his family 3) a small rent fee he pays for his temporary accommodation. Edinburgh folk - If you do pass him - he appreciates any kind gestures, waves and smiles. And walkers ready salted crisps. Please do say hello!!!
Thank you so much for helping support Mustafa in his journey home.
