My name is Abdalla Said and I'm fundraising for Mustafa Dulane.
Mustafa is a 34-year-old man with five kids. His medical history includes type 2 diabetes. Recently he has been receiving hemodialysis treatment.
This young man urgently needs a kidney transplant to replace a diseased kidney with a healthy kidney from a donor. Due to his age, a kidney transplant is the best treatment of choice for his kidney failure, compared with a lifetime on dialysis.
If he gets a kidney transplant, he may live a healthy life with one healthy kidney. He should be able to return to a more normal lifestyle and have more control over his daily living and work for his kids. If we help, his kids will grow in the presence of their father.
In general, kidneys donated by a living person last longer than kidneys donated by a deceased person. So, the family members are trying to get someone who can match. However, while the search continues, we need to fundraise for ongoing hemodialysis and future transplant costs.
Together we can put an end to the medical suffering of this young man by donating generously.
