A friend of mine is raising money for their partner but doesn’t feel comfortable using their name, so I’m helping them out. Here is what they have to say:

“Hello, I'm organising this fundraiser on behalf of my partner who is a brown lesbian living in a homophobic and abusive house. They need to leave home as living there has taken a huge toll on them emotionally and mentally especially since they're at risk of being forcibly married in the next year or so. They've tried to leave through moving out for university however this is no longer an option as their parents have limited their options for university and are no longer letting them move out. Despite them being as careful as possible, it is getting difficult for them to live at home and they have very limited savings due to financial control. Any funds donated are highly and very much appreciated and will go towards paying for rent, essential expenses such as food and into savings until they're in a safe and suitable place to get a job and support themselves. We appreciate everything very much.”
