Hello, my name is Murtaza Hussain and I am a Junior from Harlan, KY in the deep mountains of Appalachia.

I am a rising leader involved in my community, founder of “The Voice of Appalachia,” Ambassador for Kentucky at the World Leadership Congress, State Ambassador of Kentucky's 2025 Roger’s Scholars Program, and Vice President of my school's FBLA.

The reason I am starting this GoFundMe is to fund the remaining cost ($1350) of my admission fees to the World Leadership Congress. Going there will allow me to advocate for children and people in the Appalachian region who don’t have the resources and opportunities that kids from bigger cities have. It will allow me to be the voice that they don’t have and represent our local communities on a global scale.
