My name is Murt Sperry, and I’m a retired U.S. military veteran. I gave over 20 years of my life in service to this country, and I’ve always taken pride in standing on my own two feet and handling my responsibilities without asking for help. Today, I find myself in a position I never thought I’d be in. My truck—my only means of transportation—has broken down. After taking it to a mechanic, I was told it needs major repairs that are more than the truck is worth, leaving me with no realistic way to fix it. This truck isn’t just transportation—it’s my independence. It’s how I get to medical appointments, pick up groceries, and handle everyday life. It’s also how I take on small jobs and stay active, both physically and financially. Without it, even the simplest things have become difficult. As a veteran living on a fixed income, I simply don’t have the resources to replace it on my own. Asking for help doesn’t come easy to me—but right now, I truly need it. I’m raising funds to help purchase a reliable replacement vehicle so I can get back on the road, regain my independence, and continue moving forward with dignity. If you’re able to donate, no matter the amount, it would mean more to me than I can express. And if you can’t, simply sharing this with others would be a huge blessing. Thank you for taking the time to read my story, for your support, and for helping a veteran get back on his feet.
