Help Murphy make beautiful memories

My name is Danielle and six years ago this little boy came into my life.
I had just lost my "one in a lifetime dog" Diesel and was devastated, however, Murphy came into my life.

It was just as if Diesel sent him to me and he became my "two in a lifetime dog" with the same mannerisms and ways.

Fast forward to today and my beautiful boy is now facing a mass in his bladder and we were told yesterday that the prognosis is not looking good.

He fell ill just before Christmas last year and nothing conclusive was found as he recovered so quickly. He then had the same symptoms three months ago and after ultrasound, x-rays, a catheter to take sames from his bladder and tests again we had no diagnosis. It wasn't his prostrate although this was enlarged as he is an entire male and this is being monitored. No stones were found,no infection found, however, he did have two small areas of thickening on his bladder wall which was scar tissue.

He had blood, high levels of protein and crystals in his urine, which after antibiotics, supplements for his bladder and regular urine tests cleared up with only a small amount of protein showing, which is normal.

He has endured everything the vet has thrown at him without any sedation and has never made any fuss whatsoever, taking everything in his stride. He has been so brave and strong though everything.

I decided to have his urine tested regularly as a precaution so if this did happen again we could do something early. Last Friday he had this done along with a recheck of his prostate as there was still a question over it being that. He again had high levels of protein and blood again but his prostate wasn't a worry at this point. The vet made the decision to re do the ultrasound with herself, and a further vet to give a second opinion to try and find out what is wrong. This went ahead yesterday afternoon again with no sedation.

Now he has a mass nearly filling his entire bladder. They tried to insert a catheter to put fluid into his bladder to see how much space he had left in his bladder but they couldn't get this in due to the size of the mass. Samples were taken and have been sent to the lab and now we have an excruciating wait for his results.

The fact this mass has evolved so quickly has even surprised his vets. His lymph nodes were scanned and are clear at the moment but the prognosis isn't good for him.

We are currently over £1500 on vets bills not including his supplements for his bladder and all the food changes we have made to try and help him.

He isn't insured due to the fact he was turning 7 this year in the middle of his policy and he was being given restrictions on what they would pay out and us contributing to his treatment and his premium being increased over double.

Our vets are amazing and do not overcharge or do any unnecessary procedures so we took this risk.

Both Ash and me hate asking for help from anyone, but we are going through a tough year with cars that have had to be replaced and myself also possibly having a serious health issue that I have been dealing with at the same time as my little man.

We will move heaven and earth to do anything we can for him and anything we raise for him will help with whatever he needs once we have the outcome of the tests. If it means only making memories with the time we have left and making him comfortable then we would love to take him away somewhere with his brother Moose and sister Peanut but any spare money we have is being used on his vets bills.

His younger brother Moose is completely bonded to him and he has separation anxiety with Murphy so the two are never apart.

At the moment our hearts are breaking in two as we are facing him not being with us for much longer. We will explore every avenue to treat him and I will do anything I can for him which includes asking for this help.

We know times are hard for everyone but every little people can spare will help us to make memories with this beautiful little man.
