Hello, my name is Jordan Burbank, and I am putting together this GoFundMe for my roommate and best friend, Michael Alexander, and his amazing dog, Murphy Rose.

Michael found Murphy on a rainy day while he was working on a show shuttling people in a contestant van. On his way back to the production office, he saw Murphy in the rain, abandoned on the street, tangled in her own fur and needing a safe home. Without hesitation, he scooped her up and took her into his life to become his best friend.

Right now, Murphy has a tooth cracked that could potentially cause a bad infection, and she is in need of urgent dental surgery to have it removed to keep her safe. Michael, at the moment, has been down on his luck and really needs the help and kindness of others as the quote for the surgery is about $3,500-$4,000.

Living with the two of them, it is a joy to see how excited she is to see him every day when he comes in the door. She's such a sweetheart, a loyal watchdog, and brings everyone endless joy with her unique and outgoing personality. Everyone in the apartment building can't help but give her attention as she wags her tail and happily approaches them to put a smile on their faces. Michael, himself, is someone who is caring and kind, he'd give you the shirt off his back. I've personally seen him leap into action in an emergency and rush to help anyone in need.

I am lucky to get to see Murphy every day, and the joy she brings Michael is incomparable. She is by his side at every chance, from guarding his bedroom door to wanting to play games for treats. Living together, she and my dog, Hampton, have become incredibly close too. I know it is the end of the year and the holidays are upon us, but if you do have any extra to give, I know that by helping Murphy and Michael with any sort of donation, it would be life-changing for them both and allow them to have more time together and keep her happy and healthy. That would just mean the world to them both and myself.
