So friends. Our good mate Brett Murphy has lost everything in the floods. The photo is taken from his second-story looking over the neighbour's (submerged) garage. That house in the distance is actually a two-storey house. What you see is the second story.

The photo was taken just before they were rescued when the water was ankle deep on the second floor. Who knows how much further it has risen.

If Brett has ever put a smile on your face, please help him in this time.

It will take some time for insurance, government assistance etc. to kick in. But Brett, Natalie and Kiyan only escaped with the clothes on their back. And I don't think the Salvos will have Brett's size in clothing :).

No one deserves this event, least of all Brett and his family. They open up their home as foster parents and have cared for many wayward youth. So instead of buying that extra bottle of wine or case of beer for the weekend. How about shouting one for Murph.

He is too proud to normally accept charity, but I have convinced him otherwise on this one.
