We are Miriam, Alem and Nabayet, and for many years we’ve had the joy of calling Muna Sultan our dear friend, sister, and confidant.

To know our Munit is to know someone truly rare - a quiet hero who notices when others are struggling and steps in without hesitation. She never seeks recognition or praise; she simply helps, bringing calm, steady hands and a heart full of kindness to every moment of crisis. With her gift for solving problems and lifting burdens, she has spent her life giving to others in ways most will never even see - always quietly, humbly, and with so much love.

Muna is a beloved wife to Dawit, a devoted mother to her two young boys, Ethan (10) and Lewawi (6), and the only surviving child of her parents, Mama Mesi and Gashe Sultan.

Now, heartbreakingly, it is Muna who needs us.

Muna recently underwent emergency heart surgery after doctors discovered massive fluid around her heart and lungs. Tests now suggest she is facing a rare cancer of the heart lining - pericardial mesothelioma. This is one of the rarest cancers known, so uncommon that only a handful of hospitals and specialists worldwide have the experience to treat it. Today, Muna is critically ill.

This is a fight far bigger than what she, her family or her friends can face alone. She needs urgent access to the right specialists and care, and the only way forward is with your support.

As we await further test results, we promise to keep this page updated as we learn more about her condition and next steps.

ምርያም፣ አለም እና ናባይት እንባላለን። ሙና ሱልጣንን የብዙ አመታት የልብ ወዳቻችን፣ እህታችን፣ መካሪያችን ብለን ለመጥራት በመቻላችን እድለኞች እንደሆንን የሚሰማን ጓደኞቿ ነን።

የእኛን ሙኒትን ማወቅ ማለት አንዲት ልዩ የሆነች ሴት ማወቅ ማለት ነው። ዝምተኛዋ እህታችን፣ የተቸገረ ስታይ ያለምንም ማንገራገር እርዳታዋን የማትነፍግ ነች። እውቅናን ሳትሻ፣ ውዳሴን ሳትፈልግ፣ በስውር እያስተባበረች ነገሮችን ታሳካለች። ሙና ሰው በቸገረው ሰአት፣ ልታይ ልታይ ሳትል በቅንነት እና በፍቅር ፣ ሹልክ ብላ ገብታ፣ ነገሮችን አሳክታ ሹልክ ብላ የምትውጣ ሩህሩኋ እህታችን ናት። ችግር የመፍታት ፀጋ የተሰጣት ሙና፣ የብዙዎችን ሸክም ሳይታወቃቸው የምታቀልል ደግ ሴት ስትሆን ከትርፍ ጊዜዋ አብዛኛውን ሰአት ሌሎችን በማገልገል ታሳልፋለች።

ሙና ለባለቤቷ ለዳዊት የተወደደች ሚስት፣ ለሁለት ወንዶች ልጆቿ ማለትም ለአስር አመቱ ለኤታን እና ለስድስት አመቱ ሌዋዊ የተሰጠች እናት፣ ለእናቷ ማማ መሲና ለአባቷ ጋሼ ሱልጣን ብቸኛ እና የተወደደች ልጅ ናት።

ዛሬ ግን፣ እህታችን ሙና ድጋፋችንንን የምትፈልግበት ጊዜ መጥቷል።

ሙና በቅርቡ በልቧና በሳንባዎቿ ዙሪያ ፈሳሽ ከተገኘ በኋላ አስቸኳይ የልብ ቀዶ ጥገና አድርጋለች። ከቀዶ ጥገናው በኃላ የተደረጉ ምርመራዎች እያሳዩ ያሉት በልቧ ዙሪያ በአይነቱ የተለየ ካንሰር መገኘቱን ነው። ፔሪካርዲያል ሜዞቴሊዮማ በሚል ስም የሚጠራው ይህ ካንሰር፣ በአለም ላይ በጣም በተወሰኑ ሆስፒታሎችና ባለሙያዎች ብቻ መታከም የሚችል የካንሰር አይነት ነው። በዚህም ምክንያት ሙና በጠና ታማለች።

እህታችን ሙና አስፈላጊውን የሕክምና እርዳታ በአስቸኳይ ማግኘት ይኖርባታል። ሆኖም ወጪው ከቤተሰቦቿ እና ከወዳጆቿ አቅም በላይ በመሆኑ ሙና አስፈላጊውን ሕክምና እንድታገኝ የእናንተ ድጋፍ ያስፈልገናል።

ተጨማሪ የሕክምና ምርመራ ውጤቶቿንና በቀጣይ የሚወሰዱትን እርምጃዎች ባወቅን ግዜ በእዚህ ገፅ ላይ እናሳውቃችኋለን።

ሙኒት ሌሎችን በጸጥታ ስትረዳ ኖራለች። ለብዙዎች እንደደረሰች ሁሉ፣ ዛሬ ሕይወቷን ለማትረፍ ድጋፋችንን በምትሻበት በዚህ ጊዜ እንድረስላት።
